Sugar Addiction, The Facts; The Solution
What or who is making you eat more than you need to, want to or planned to?
Do you sometimes feel like your eating is being driven by something other than genuine hunger for food that gives nutrition and fuel to your body? Why is it that people so easily turn to food in response to an emotion?
Until you understand what’s really going on both in your mind and body when you consume sugar, you could be forgiven for believing that stopping sugar is a question of willpower and moderation. It absolutely isn’t.
Sugar is highly addictive. In laboratory tests – it was found to be EIGHT times more addictive than Cocaine or Heroin. The brain’s response to sugar is to release a massive amount of the pleasure hormone Dopamine. The body’s response to refined sugar (which cannot be digested properly) is to release insulin to deal with the sugar and turn it into fat which is then stored around the body.
That’s why we’re getting bigger. That’s why children as young as five are being diagnosed with diabetes. Fat does not turn into fat. Sugar turns into fat.
The sugar industry both today and historically has done it’s very best to ‘quieten’ and indeed cover up the research findings and sought to distract our attention by promoting low fat foods throughout the food industry. Consequently, sugar has made its way into approximately 90% of all food sold in supermarkets (both the obvious and less obvious), hiding behind an astonishing 61 different names.
Sugar is also the only addictive substance legally marketed and sold to children! Addiction expert Chris Hill will help you understand the effects of sugar on the relationship between your mind, body and conscious self. He will explain how sugar addiction takes hold, how it perpetuates excessive eating, leaving you feeling out of control and at the mercy of the next coffee break with biscuits.
Chris will then show you how to painlessly (i.e. without feeling deprived or having to use massive willpower) no longer have a want or need for sugary foods.
You will then have a ‘choice’ – if you understand the addiction and how to beat it – you are immediately empowered with CHOICE.
