Addiction & Mental Health Workshops & Support Groups
With support from our charity The Rob Hill Foundation, we provide FREE weekly addiction and mental health recovery workshops and support groups.
Everyone is welcome to attend – it’s a drop-in so you don’t have to book. Whether you’d like to stop an addictive substance such as nicotine, alcohol, drugs or even sugar; or an addictive activity such as over-spending, gambling, over-eating; or if you want to deal with anxiety and stress, free yourself from a phobia, habit or other behaviour that is negatively impacting your life – you can learn the Beat My Addictions programme through one of these workshops.
What it’s all about
During the workshops, we explain how your conscious and subconscious minds work and the relationship they have with each other and with your body; especially once an addictive substance or activity is introduced.
Once you understand this, we then move on to how you can create any change you want. The programme is effective as it doesn’t rely on willpower; but on re-educating the part of your mind where the addiction has become embedded.
Watch this testimonial from a man who attended one of these groups and completely changed his life.
The set-up is very informal, with a mix of people attending. All new people welcome and all substance and activity addictions covered. We’ve got people who have already beaten their addictions through the teaching – returning to offer support to newcomers or those going through the withdrawal phase.
So whatever stage you’re at – you’ll always be welcome and you’ll get the learning and support you need.
